Rooftop Day

Last year, Ronorp organized the first Rooftop Day at Zurich, Basel and Lucern. This year it will also be organized in Geneva on June 28!!!

The idea is simple: those lucky enough to have a garden, balcony or rooftop terrace and who want to host an event, can e-mail geneve@ronorp.net until May 31. It can be a little party, a bbq, a yoga class, an art exhibition, a game... You name it! And Ron will be kind enough to offer the beers!

At Geneva's botanical garden (which of course I expect all of you to have already visited!) you can find from from May 14 until October 19 a curious presentation of palmtrees relationship with human beings and the use which we give them: medicines, food, building, weaving, etc.

Yvoire

Close to Geneva you have many cute little villages to visit, but my favourite one for spring and summer time is Yvoire, in France!

Take a cruise from the Quai du Mont-Blanc or drive with your car, stroll along the small streets admiring the stone houses, the balconies and gardens covered with flowers and the view to the lake. And of course don't leave without trying a delicious crêpe!

You will not be disappointed!!!

Gastronomy Festival at La Fourchette

La Fourchette is a cool and useful website in Geneva to book tables, but also where you can check which restaurants have nice discounts so that the eating-out experience doesn't turn out so hurtful to your pocket!

From May 12 to May 25 you will find an amazing -50% discount in more than 100 restaurants around the city! But most importantly, in restaurants where you would normally not dream of going if you want to eat something more than bread and water during that month!!! The Bayview, L'Arabesque or the Umami at President Wilson, Windows at the Hotel d'Anglaterre, L'Amalfi, Vertig'o… Don't miss this opportunity to try Geneva's best cuisine!!!!!

Tulip festival at Morges

For the last two years I've been going to Morges in spring to enjoy their Tulip Festival! It is so beautiful to walk around the Parc de l'Independance in a blue-sky day with the lake on the background, surrounded by more than 120.000 tulips of different colors… Amazing!!!

This year you can enjoy these beautiful tulips of more than 300 varieties from March 29 to May 11!

Don't miss it!
